The First Step

Dreams, unfortunately, don’t usually account for much in the way of results.  As it turns out, results don’t come from ideas in so much as they do from actions.

Goals are good, but without action, we wouldn’t have dreaming children who become Olympic athletes, firemen or astronauts.

A First Step is important, as it opens the door to the possibility of more steps to come.  A first step is a cautiously optimistic movement towards a better (or at least different) future.

And, while a first step could potentially lead you off a cliff, it’s more likely close enough to the edge to step back if needed.

Unlike a blind leap of faith, you’re likely to survive a first step.

While there’s nothing wrong with them, dreams don’t actually require much actual movement – anyone can have one while they’re in the shower or as they’re falling asleep at night.

Results always take a step – usually followed by a few more.

So, take more first steps and see where they lead you.  You might be pleasantly surprised at where you can go.
