It’s not always obvious where to begin the work that needs to be done. Sometimes the list is too long and the things on it all feel too important to pick. Sometimes the job is so big or that wherever you start feels meaningless. Unattainable. Sometimes there is resistance – external and internal.
The desire to keep the status quo, to look the other way, to do something else can be overwhelming.
The answer may be too simple to see – where the work begins is where you start it.
If you’re brave, your starting point is right where you feel the most uncomfortable. From that point, everything else looks easier. Start at the top and work your way down. Start locally. Start with yourself. Start with things you can control.
But, start.
For without starting, there’s no chance of making progress.
